Have you ever found yourself asking the same questions?
Why do I keep crying? Why can I not stop worrying? Why is my heart pounding all the time? Why do I feel so miserable? Why do I feel that I am not normal? Why do I feel so afraid? |
Why does everything feel so hopeless? Why do I feel it’s only me who is not coping? Why am I always so angry? Why do I feel so isolated? Why do I feel so trapped? Why do I feel so stuck? |
It certainly helped me, hence my journey to get qualified and give something back. I now live my life carrying a much smaller rucksack and with a smile.I have stopped repeating the same patterns and live with greater insight and with more awareness.
I have worked in the Teaching profession for over 30 years, and understand fully the stresses and strains of the Profession. I have been involved in Counselling for the last 16 years, qualifying at Diploma level in 2006. In addition to private practice, I have continued to volunteer with placements at Idle Medical Centre, The Market place in Leeds, and at Airevalley Counselling and Therapy in Keighley. I am currently working at Eldwick and Gilstead Medical practice.
My work in the voluntary sector is mostly from referrals from Doctor’s surgeries, I therefore have access to the same resources used by the NHS IAPT CBT Therapists, particularly pertaining to Depression, anxiety and panic attacks and Bereavement.
I am a member of The Counselling Society and accredited by them, ( MNCS acc )
